When the birth control pill first became available in the 1950s and 60s, feminists saw it as a vehicle for women’s liberation. Today, 90% of women have used contraceptives. And transmasculine people use birth control at rates comparable to the general population. But this isn’t the whole story. This hole focuses on the racist history of birth control, as well the efficacy of different forms of contraception available today.
